JewGlue.com Terms of Use

Welcome to the JewGlue Network, a central portal for social, business and religious networking. Jewglue.com (“JewGlue” or the “site” or “services”) is operated by Brown and Miller Direct, Inc.
Any person who accesses www.jewglue.com (“User”) or any member who registers with JewGlue (“member”) must agree and accept all the Terms of Use (“Terms” or “Agreement”) of this agreement and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms after you read this Agreement, you may not use the JewGlue services and must discontinue use immediately.
You agree that we may modify the Terms of this Agreement or the Privacy Policy, in our sole discretion, by posting amended terms to this page of the site. Your continued use of the service indicates your acceptance of the amended Terms of the Agreement. Be sure to review these Terms periodically to ensure familiarity with the most current version.
JewGlue allows members to create personal profiles for business and social networking between friends, family, and business associates. Our network offers Jewish content, although JewGlue does not discriminate on race, color, sex, religion, or national origin in any way. Any person may access and register for JewGlue as long as they review, accept, and follow all of the following Terms.
Eligibility
You understand and agree to the following:
(a) If you choose to register for JewGlue, you must submit a valid e-mail address and select a password and username during the registration process;
(b) You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password, and all uses of your account - whether or not you've authorized such use;
(c) You agree to notify JewGlue immediately of any unauthorized use of your account;
(d) You are at least 18 years of age. JewGlue will not be held liable for any loss or damage for non-compliance. In addition, you understand and agree that the content of all users, including your content, will be collected, aggregated and anonymously integrated into our Service;
(e) You understand, and agree that, unless expressly stated, JewGlue in no way controls, verifies, or endorses any of the information contained on or in the JewGlue service, including but not limited to links, events, messages, blogs, groups, message boards and classifieds (listings) that are posted by members.
Registration
Although registration is not required to view JewGlue, if you decide to register for the Service, you must complete the JewGlue registration screen. As part of the registration process for the Service, you agree to:
(a) Provide certain limited information about you as prompted to do so by the Service (such information to be current, complete and accurate); and;
(b) Maintain and update this information as required to keep it current, complete and accurate. The information requested upon the initial sign up shall be referred to as registration data ("Registration Data"). JewGlue reserves the right to delete accounts created by users who appropriate the name, likeness, email address, or other personally identifiable information of another individual. JewGlue reserves the right to refuse the Service to any user for any or no reason.
By agreeing to these Terms, members affirm that they will not use this service to harass or abuse other members. Individuals who have demonstrably harassed other individuals via message boards, private messages, classifieds (listings), blogs, groups, events or using any other means may be removed from JewGlue without the Member’s consent.
Fees
JewGlue is a FREE network for all users to join, create a profile, blog, listing, group, event, or poll. By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge that JewGlue, in its own discretion, may change its fees at any time.
Content
You are fully responsible for any content (“content”) you post on the JewGlue service including, but not limited to, photos, personal profile(s), message boards, classifieds, listings, blogs, groups, events, polls, shticky notes, e-mail messages - and the consequences of any such content.
You understand and agree that JewGlue may review, modify or delete any content on the JewGlue network, content that violates these Terms, or which might be offensive, illegal, or harm the safety of or violate the rights of other users and members.
JewGlue does not claim ownership to any content a member of JewGlue submits, uploads or publishes to the Site; including but not limited to all written material (text), uploaded photos, and anything that displays on the JewGlue website. Content includes, but it not limited to, all personal profiles, pictures, blogs, listings, events, groups, and polls. You also agree to take ownership of your own content and will be held fully responsible for any legal actions it may cause.
Content that is illegal or prohibited, includes, but is not limited to, material, text, graphics, photos, images, video or audio that:
- Is Anti-Semitic or prejudice towards any religious, racial, or ethnic group;
- Is unlawful, harassing, libelous, abusive, threatening, harmful, bigoted, racially offensive, obscene or otherwise objectionable;
- Displays sexually explicit material of any kind in an area that is not categorized for Mature Content;
- Is intended or designed to disrupt an ongoing conversation via flaming (a message in which the writer publicly attacks another participant in overly harsh or personal terms) or trolling (deliberately posting derogatory or inflammatory comments in order to bait other users into responding);
- Encourages conduct that could constitute a criminal offense, gives rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law or regulation;
- Transmits or posts any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, "spam," junk mail, "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," etc;
- Transmits or posts any content that infringes upon patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights or other proprietary rights;
- Transmits or posts any viruses or material designed to disrupt, limit or destroy any functionality of any computer software or hardware of users, members or JewGlue;
- Collects, stores or solicits information about other users or members for commercial or unlawful purposes or engage in commercial activity such as contests, sweepstakes, etc. without JewGlue’s prior consent;
- Contains personally identifiable information about another member that is published without their express consent;
- Contains material originally posted by another member that is reposted without permission or attribution;
- Advertises any illegal services or the sale of any items prohibited or restricted by applicable law;
- Has misleading email addresses or other manipulated identifiers to disguise its origin.
When posting any content under the Listings section, you agree to follow each of the following:
- JewGlue takes no ownership to any of the content published, displayed, or posted to the site.
- Any employer, recruiter, or member who posts a job to the listings section agrees that JewGlue is not responsible for the employment process of the available position. JewGlue has no affiliation with any job posted to the site and will not be held responsible for any legal action it may cause.
- Any member looking or browsing for open positions on JewGlue agrees that the site is not responsible for any posting, and must contact the employer directly.
- Any content that is posted by a member for selling purposes (Property or Buying/Selling) agrees that JewGlue will not be held responsible for any transaction that may occur due to the listing. Members take full ownership of the listing they post to the site.
- You will only create a business or medical listing if you own, manage, or are employed by, the company that is listed.
- The ad created must be in the appropriate category. JewGlue reserves the right to edit the category or sub-category of the listing ad to make sure its in the proper location.
When posting any content under the Blogs section, you agree to each of the following:
- You, the member, are fully responsible for any content you submit to the JewGlue site.
- You will follow all of the applicable laws and will take full responsibility for any legal action it may cause.
- JewGlue takes no ownership to any content you post or display on the site.
Jew Glue considers the following content to be mature and not acceptable:
- Nudity
- Explicitly sexual content -- visual depictions or written descriptions
- Intense depictions or descriptions of violence or gore
- Obscene gestures
- Profanity that is sexual in nature or that is directed at another member
- Discussions or information about illicit substances
Note: Hate speech is not acceptable and will not be tolerated on JewGlue. As defined by JewGlue, hate speech may consist of symbols or images, as well as text.
JewGlue defines sexually oriented content as any material that depicts, in actual or simulated form, or explicitly describes, in a predominantly sexual context, human genitalia, any act of sexual intercourse, any act of sadism or masochism, or any other erotic subject directly related to the foregoing.
Members
To use the JewGlue network, you also agree to each of the following:
- You will not impersonate any person or entity.
- You will not "stalk" or otherwise harass any person.
- You will not transmit any chain letters, spam, mass mail or junk email to other Members.
- You will not express or imply that any statements you make are endorsed by us, without our specific prior written consent.
- You will not harvest or collect personal information about other Members whether or not for commercial purposes, without their express consent.
- You will not use any robot, spider, site search/retrieval application, or other manual or automatic device or process to retrieve, index, "data mine", or in any way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the Site or its contents.
- You will not post, distribute or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining the prior consent of the owner of such proprietary rights.
- You will not remove any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices contained in the Site.
- You will not interfere with or disrupt the Services or the Site or the servers or networks connected to the Services or the Site.
By submitting a profile/pictures to JewGlue, you hereby authorise JewGlue to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, and display your submissions in connection with the JewGlue website.
Jew Glue reserves the right to refuse membership to anyone. JewGlue may terminate your membership and any information, content, communications or postings, at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES. YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT USE OF THE SERVICES AND/OR ANY GRAPHICS OR OTHER CONTENT YOU DOWNLOAD FROM THE JEWGLUE SITE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK AND THAT YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OF FILES, SOFTWARE, SERVICES AND/OR ANY GRAPHICS OR OTHER CONTENT. THE SERVICES AND/OR ANY GRAPHICS OR OTHER CONTENT YOU DOWNLOAD FROM THE JEWGLUE SITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS. JEWGLUE, ITS LICENSORS AND SUPPLIERS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. NEITHER JEWGLUE, NOR ITS LICENSORS OR SUPPLIERS MAKE ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SOFTWARE, SERVICES AND/OR ANY GRAPHICS OR OTHER CONTENT YOU DOWNLOAD FROM THE JEWGLUE SITE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, OR THAT THE SOFTWARE OR SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR FREE; NOR DOES JEWGLUE, ITS LICENSORS OR SUPPLIERS MAKE ANY WARRANTY AS TO THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE OR AS TO THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE OR THAT DEFECTS IN THE SOFTWARE WILL BE CORRECTED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL JEWGLUE, ITS LICENSORS OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, RESULTING FROM THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, SERVICE, AND/OR ANY GRAPHICS OR OTHER CONTENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, EVEN IF HANDSHAKES HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. FURTHER JEWGLUE SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY TO YOU OR OTHER THIRD PARTIES FOR ANY THIRD PARTY CONTENT UPLOADED ONTO OR DOWNLOADED FROM THE SERVICE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
INDEMNITY. YOU HEREBY AGREE, AT YOUR EXPENSE, TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND AND HOLD JEWGLUE HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY LOSS, COST, DAMAGES, LIABILITY, AND/OR EXPENSE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO (A) THIRD PARTY CLAIMS, ACTIONS OR ALLEGATIONS OF INFRINGEMENT BASED ON INFORMATION, DATA OR CONTENT YOU SUBMITTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE, (B) ANY FRAUD OR MANIPULATION, OR OTHER BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT, BY YOU, OR (C) THIRD PARTY CLAIMS, ACTIONS OR ALLEGATIONS BROUGHT AGAINST JEWGLUE ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR SOFTWARE.
This Agreement constitutes the complete and exclusive understanding and agreement of the parties relating to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior understandings, proposals, agreements, negotiations, and discussions between the parties, whether written or oral. You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for reviewing the Terms of this Agreement from time to time. Any continued use of the Software or Service by you after such amended terms have been posted or information regarding such amendment has been sent to you, shall be deemed your consent and agreement to such amended terms.
